ONE by AOL: Display campaigns must adhere to both ONE by AOL: Display and to AOL Advertising creative specifications, guidelines and policies. Before submitting your banners, please review the following checklist:

Do my ads meet ONE by AOL: Display specs? - Don’t forget: Each individual banner must meet the file size limits as outlined on the individual banner spec pages. 

Do my ads meet AOL Advertising's creative guidelines? - Don’t forget: Your banner should have a 1-pixel black border or solid color background to help distinguish it from the page content. Ads must also contain the advertiser’s name to identify it as an ad rather than content.

Do my ads meet AOL Advertising's technical standards? - Don't forget: All click-through URL's must open in a new browser window.

Do my ads meet AOL Advertising's policies?Don’t forget: Your Company’s privacy policy must appear on your landing page as well as any other pages on your site that collect personal information such as names and email addresses. Offers on ads must also be listed on the landing page or somewhere on the site.

Accepted Formats - HTML5, gif, .jpg, .swf; standard 3rd party tags

NOTE: HTML5 can be utilized for both Non-Rich Media or Rich Media ad units:
- Non-Rich Media: basic image ads that may include light, 15 second animation
- Rich Media: ads that include expansion, rich interactions and/or video

Note: For best results, ONE by AOL: Display recommends using multiple creative sizes, particularly the five standard IAB sizes: 120x600, 160x600, 300x250, 300x600, 468x60, and 728x90. These sizes do not include Site Window Ad, Lightbox Expand, Doodle Ads, Sidekick, AOLightbox or Loft 

Click-through Actions

  • URL should be _level0.clickTag
  • Target window should be set to “_blank”

Creative Specifications

  • File size may not exceed 250K (includes initial, polite and support)  NOTE:  creatives over 200k will be blocked on Yahoo sites
  • All animation must stop after 15 seconds
  • All AOL Standard Creative Guidelines apply

ONE by AOL: Display Policies

After you create your campaign, your banners and click-through URLs will be reviewed by our Network Quality team for content and language. To ensure this process goes smoothly, please ensure your ads meet the criteria in AOL Advertising’s creative guidelines, advertising policies and category guidelines.

Ad Serving Costs

ONE by AOL: Display pays for all ad serving costs associated with AOL’s ad serving system. This excludes AOL Rich Media as a vendor. AOL Rich Media is not available via ONE by AOL: Display.

For campaigns booked via ONE by AOL: Display we can cover serving fees for advertisers that bill on an IO (managed media). Requires pre-approval. We cannot cover serving fees for advertisers leveraging an MSA (platform).
