Matt Seiler is an industry mutt, having played every role from account guy to strategic planner. His varied experience helps him understand different perspectives and challenge conventions within the media world.
In January 2011, Seiler was named CEO of Mediabrands – a key contributor to holding company IPG’s success in recent years. Beforehand, Seiler was Global CEO of UM, a part of Mediabrand, and played a huge part in the agency’s rebound by bridging the gap between media and creative agencies. As a result, Mediaweek named Seiler “Executive of the Year” in 2009.
Prior to UM, Seiler served as President and later CEO of PHD North America. Seiler has also held the titles of EVP and Chief Insight and Integration Officer at the Omnicom group, and Director of Strategic Planning at BBDO New York. Seiler began his advertising career as a Senior Account Director at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners.
