Chief Marketing Officer
As Chief Marketing Officer, Laurie’s life is dedicated to driving network growth and new business. Her time can be divided in three equal parts – Agency R&D and Consulting, coaching the TBWA Network of 258 offices how to go to market, and marketing the TBWA Brand to global clients. She also advises the agency and its clients on long-lead strategic issues and consumer trends.
An avid TEDster, Laurie is described as an optimistic catalyst, and one of the “thirstiest people on the planet” when it comes to information and intelligence. She speaks all over the world on the topic of innovation in the workplace, and facilitates “Disruption” workshops, lending her experience to groups interested in change.
Laurie joined TBWA in 1984. She is a member of the agency’s Executive Committee and provides executive and marketing leadership to all its companies around the world, including The Disruption Consultancy, Be•ing – A Brand Behavior Company, and E-Graphics.
She sits on several boards including the Minority Advertising Training Foundation, the AAAAs New Business Committee, MeQuillibrium, Open Road Publishing, and UCLA TFT. Laurie was also a participating author in the best selling business book, Beyond Disruption: Changing the Rules in the Marketplace, by Jean-Marie Dru.
