Welcome Jolie Hunt to the AOL team

We are so excited to welcome Jolie Hunt to the AOL family.

Hunt has been appointed Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, a new role at the company.   In this role, she will oversee our global communications strategy; social media; corporate social responsibility; cause related initiatives and corporate events.  Hunt will also be responsible for AOL’s global brand development, partnerships and consumer marketing initiatives.

Hunt is a rising star in the media and technology industries with an extensive background in building brand reputations at leading companies.  Prior to her new role at AOL, Hunt was the Senior Vice President, Global Head of Brand and PR at Thomas Reuters, for the company’s news and financial services businesses.  Before joining Thomas Reuters, Hunt was the Global Director of Corporate and Business Affairs at IBM and served as Director of PR for the Financial Times from 2002-2006.   As you can see, Hunt is a person of many talents and we are thrilled to have her on the team!

Earlier this year, Hunt received an honorable mention by the Public Relations Consultants Association for the PR Week award ‘PR Professional of the Year’.  She continues to be an active member of the media and technology industries.  Hunt joined PopTech in 2010, and was appointed to the Civilian Public Affairs Council for West Point Military Academy in 2008.  She holds committee and boards positions for the Wiseman, Arthur W Page Society, The Seminar, and has written the column “Gal With a Suitcase” for The Daily Beast, which has also been syndicated by Reuters since 2009.

Hunt earned a B.S from Boston University’s College of Communication, and in 2012, completed a Global Leadership Program from Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business and Spain’s IE Business School.
