Patch Promotes Small Business Saturday in Powerful Ways
Patch partnered with Amex on Saturday, Nov. 26, to celebrate and promote Small Business Saturday (SBS) for the second year. Patch's “feet on the street” capabilities were a cornerstone of the program; no other hyperlocal platform features the in-market presence that Patch does.

Patch local sales force was able to help 619 local businesses participate in the program which included 268 underwritten local ad placements and 351 Patch deals. Additionally, Amex underwrote local ads and “Deal of the Day” placements for small businesses for the week leading up to SBS. Patch.com Editorial efforts with Run of Patch Portraits generated a .28% CTR while two days of Patch.com Small Business Saturday skins garnered a 1.81CTR.
In addition to the online advertising, 2,822 unique pieces of editorial content were produced by our very own Patch editors about small businesses, including one featuring local New Jersey Senator’s announcement to support small businesses in Hoboken and Jersey City. This was a company-wide initiative across several of our brands, including MapQuest (which featured a Small Business Locator for the entire month of November) and The Huffington Post (editorial content supporting the mission of Small Business Saturday).
