HuffPost Miami Launches
The latest of The Huffington Post’s local properties, HuffPost Miami, launched this morning under the leadership of editor Janie Campbell. HuffPost Miami will bring to the city the unique blend of real-time news, views, and an engaged community.

“We’re delighted to launch HuffPost Miami,” said Arianna Huffington. “Miami is in many ways a city of bridges, literally and figuratively. It is a connecting hub for Latin and North American cultures – as well as people from all corners of the world – and it’s a sprawling urban landscape where highways and causeways tie together a wide diversity of neighborhoods, each with its own distinct flavor, opportunities and challenges. We’ll be spotlighting the problems the city faces and how its residents and leaders are working to address them to build Miami as a true world class city.”
HuffPost Miami is the newest installment of HuffPost Local’s commitment to bringing social news to city-dwellers across the country. It will report on all of Miami, from its multilingual cultures and politics to its diverse personalities and businesses. The site offers real-time news and views about the city, including its popular sports teams; growing restaurant scene; ceaseless real estate development and architectural restoration; and evolving role as the “capital of Latin America.”
