Getting Connected in Baltimore
What happens when you get together 400 technology enthusiasts, thought leaders and entrepreneurs in Baltimore? An energetic evening that only happens once a year affectionately known as TechNite.
For the first time ever, Advertising.com was a lead sponsor of this event which is hosted by the Greater Baltimore Technology Council.
My history with the GBTC goes back 12 years to just after Advertising.com was founded. Back then, we looked to the organization to connect us with other like-minded individuals who were passionate about pursuing their vision. That collective energy helped keep us going even in the midst of the many ups and downs new companies face. Those relationships that we forged helped to sustain us.
Now that we are in a phase of strategic growth, having brought several offerings together under the Advertising.com Group umbrella, we look to organizations such as the GBTC for something different. We appreciate both the great talent and renewed fusion of entrepreneurial energy that they provide us.
It was exhilarating to reconnect with so many people that I have met in Baltimore over the years and to also see the next generation of fresh talent. I had the pleasure of announcing the award winners for TechNite’s “Hottest Tech in Town” competition which highlighted up and coming technology companies from our region. Their passion was nothing less than contagious.
It was a great night to celebrate the innovation ecosystem in Advertising.com’s hometown and we honored to be a part of it all.
